A tad touristy, but good food prepared well. Cozy restaurant and attentive service round out the experience at this restaurant.
There are so many lovely restaurants in QC; I recommend this one for the delicious food of course, but also the fantastic service. We could struggle through with lousy French but our waitress seemed happy to switch to English. Also a nice selection of gluten free food and it's a relief to have it listed in the menu.Highly recommend; try the brie appetizer and I'm told they make the best French onion soup in town as well. Bon appetit!
Good restaurant, i took the wapiti burger and it was really good.
I love it. Good food in a beautifull street. You have to try.
Excellent food and excellent service!
Everything very good. I love the duck and the veal the most. The service are excellent. Price is very reasonable. Must try.
Nickolas is an awesome server and individual. Loved his recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Enjoyed this quaint restaurant in Old Quebec. Elk burger was good and so is the wine menu. The plastic covers and blankets on the patio were a nice touch on those cool fall days.
I want in for a quick chicken salad at lunch and it was excellent..and also gluten free! The decor is comfortable. It's a mix of rustic and modern. This bistro is in a great location if you are looking to check out the little strip of shops in lower town. It's on one of the cobblestone streets and close to the water, so it's a good area for a stroll. There are also plenty of other restaurants around, so you can also eat and then look around for your next meal, if you're staying in the area from our of town. It's relatively close to the lift up the hill.
The best fish and chips ever! Excellent and friendly service. The four of us happened to come upon this little restaurant at lunchtime. Everything was delicious. Desserts were outstanding. We will be back.
As always this cozy little venue, warms your heart, as well as delighting your palate. Amazing waiting staff, a romantic winter interlude beside the fireplace on a cold blustery winter day, is indescribable.
Great food, excellent service and very cosy. Make sure you book
This restaurant is small, cozy, unpretentious and classy. Our server was excellent. Our wine was delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly. The duck ritelles appetizer was just okay though.
The food was sensational. Best traditional poutine I encountered on my stay this trip. I reccomend you try the maple baked brie with pecans. I had the deer in blueberry sauce, outstanding.
A wonderful place, delicious food and extraordinary service.
Delicious 😋, Excellent attention and kindness.
Intimate environment. Food was enjoyable but not the most unique flavor profiles. My wife had steak and I had venison. She raved about her maple cake dessert. The sparkling cider I had was very refreshing as well.
Excellent service. Very tasty food. Great beautiful place. Just Perfect! If you come here ask for Red Deer Plate
Lou did a great job of serving us and was very friendly and wanting to make sure we were taken care of. If it wasn't for her, the blonde lady would have been adamant that we would need to wait 20 minutes like she told other people as we sat on the patio. Thanks Lou. We enjoyed the French onion soup, the wild boar egg rolls and the Brie appetizer. If I lived in Quebec, I would be back. Dan
Loved this small quaint and intimate bistro. Service was great and staff was friendly. Food was outstanding!
Very tasty food and friendly staff in a prime location.
French onion soup was too bland. Wild boar ground meat tastes as regular meat with no charisma. Catchy dish names worth nothing without good taste. Escargot had way too much fennel or anise. I would add to menu escargot in garlic sauce as alternative.
Wonderful food, especially if you like meat. Great service and atmosphere
Had the Brie appetizer and deer medallion which were very tasty. Decent wine list. Friendly and easy going staff. Really enjoyed the seating outside. Will be back.
Great little pub. Lots of drink choices and tasty snacks. We had the wings (very good and with a slight kick). The pizza (if there are three of you, just ask them to cut it into 6 slices, they will). We also had the French onion soup, this was good, not awesome (missed it a bit on the flavour). Perfect place to stop and people watch. We’d go back. Oh, if they have the sangrias, get one. Our server, who had an awesome sense of humour, suggested it for me. Glad I got it. Super tasty. Sorry no food photos, just my husband and son on the outdoor patio. Try this place.
Attentive service. Cozy place. Great location. Meat pie was an absolute dream. The Queen Elizabeth cake was fabulous.
Outstanding menu selection, extraordinary cooks and the most wonderful service! Prices are reasonable too!
We went there on our anniversary on September 13, 2019. We asked for the table by the window of which they obliged. Our waitress was amazing and the food outstanding . After our dinner they brought us Maple liquors with sparkler in it for our celebration. They thought of everything. The Maple cake was to die for a must even if you are full. Please take the time to have dinner at this beautiful quaint place in Old Quebec city.
Excellent meals and sevice provide by Elisa. We bought had the special that was reasonably priced. Save room for dessert. Had maple cake with cream. A little sweet but well worth using my daily calorie allocation.
This place was great. So much so we went back a second time and left a 50% tip. I didn't get his name but it seemed like the main host was our server and he made the whole night spectacular. The first time we went to this place he eagerly greeted us and fit us in despite not having a reservation. He was nice. The second time he was our server and really enjoys what he does. He talked with us a bunch and recommended different things and cracked a few jokes. We loved every moment. The food is also top knotch. I had the mushroom ravioli the first time and the salmon the second. My husband had the elk burger both times. Just a great experience. I highly recommend it.
A beautiful restaurant, very cosy. Perfect for a romantic meal !
Exceptional service and awesome food. Not a touristic trap, but a great genuine local restaurant. Thanks for the warm welcome!
Tucked away in one of Québec Old Port’s winding alleyways sits this charming little bistro. The food options range in all sorts of flavors, and the portions are great! We enjoyed the bison burger and the quiche, both excellent and very shareable. The service was so very friendly and the prices superb. 👌🼠This caliber of restaurant, with their hospitality and overall vibe, would be much more expensive in the United States, in our opinion. We got to sit right next to a window in the rosy light, watching the passers-by as they snapped quick pictures of the ice sculptures outside our window. Such a lovely experience...check it out if you’re here!
I loved having dinner here last Saturday night. I finally found a restaurant in Quebec City that has food that I wanted to eat. There were many options that spanned from light to rich and decadent (most restaurants seem to only have options swimming in duck fat or carbs). I really enjoyed having the gravlax appetizer and quiche for dinner. The service was excellent and they were able to take us as walk-ins.
Amazing atmosphere, good food (not excellent)!
Awesome food. fast service. lovely location and a very warm and inviting restaurant. we really enjoyed a great meal. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was fantastic! we did call ahead for reservations *(recommend) and did not have to wait when we arrived. This is an upscale dining experience and is not a quick in and out burger joint, so the meals cost a bit more but the quality is definitely there.. I recommend this location. Did I mention that the restaurant is located in the heart of the old city? so take a stroll after a great meal and enjoy all the city has to offer!
Probably one of the best French onion soups you will ever have! Amazing!
Waiter was outstanding. We were thrilled to be accommodated on New year's Eve last minute as a group of 5. Everything about the food was amazing and we were left very impressed. The location was perfect and beautiful.Highly recommend this spot!
Cozy bistro with great service and attention, right in Petit Champlain. It serves nice French dishes.
Amazing Service and the food was very good. Our server Frederique was top notch really kind and very fast with our amazing food
Great lunch. Fabulous chicken salad. Charles was witty, knew the menu and wine list and had some great travel tips
Oh my gosh I dream about this onion since we stopped at this port in Quebec City. Yes, it is the best onion soup EVER. I can't wait to go back there .
On the left as you walk down Rue sous le Fort, getting off the funicular. Very friendly service, relaxed and cool outdoor seating, excellent place for lunch on a hot summer day. Excellent mushroom ravioli, burger and fried fish. Indoor seating is a bit cramped.
Quiche and salad were both very good. Prices are very reasonable. Great service as well. The restaurant is fairly small so reservations may be necessary during rush hours.
We had dinner here on our first day in Quebec City and it did not disappoint. I had the snails and asparagus ravioli and both were simply delicious. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Highly recommended you will totally enjoy it.
This place is very small but very quaint and lovely! Our server was kind and made great suggestions for food and drink. I ordered the duck rillete and my husband ordered the lox (which was actually amazing- we've never had this type of lox; it was a fillet instead of thin slices). I also ordered the creme brule and it was delicious! Highly recommend this cozy place!!!!
Great little place. Wonderful service, really tasty food.
Fabulous food and service. We ate here yesterday for lunch and it was so nice that we came back again today. We had steak, fish and chips, salad, poutine, hamburger. All were very good. Very quiet and restful after a long day of walking. Will be back again!
Quite nice Restaurant. Appetizer was nice and tasty. Elk Burger was little disappointing. Cheap bread and tastes like frozen patty topped with lovely vegetables. But Staff was really nice and friendly, next time would try something else. Sitting outside in the sun is nice and covered with umbrellas. Prices are ok for the surounding.
Cozy French bistro in Quartier Petit Champlain with very friendly service. The food is French bistro inspired which is quite satisfying. This is a good choice for the walk around the historic lower town,FABULOUS! Best Fish and Chips ever. Cod was huge, moist and delicious! Steak Afro Ted was outstanding. Both came w scrumptious salad and fries. Anne Kim was the best server. Maple cake dessert is amazing!
